Mestre Film Fest tredicesima edizione si svolgerà a Mestre (Venezia)
Centro Culturale Candiani dal 12 al 16 ottobre 2010

 
 
REGOLAMENTO
Al concorso possono partecipare solo opere prodotte dopo il 2008 (compreso).
Le opere dovranno rientrare in una delle seguenti categorie:

Short Stories
Possono partecipare tutti i cortometraggi di durata massima di 20' (compresi i titoli di testa e di coda), indipendentemente se a soggetto, documentario ecc. e realizzati in qualsiasi formato.

Videoforkids
Possono partecipare tutti i video per ragazzi realizzati da giovani registi under 18 e dalle scuole di ogni ordine e grado di durata massima di 15' (compresi i titoli di testa e di coda) e realizzati in qualsiasi formato.
I criteri di valutazione dei video terranno conto della capacità di progettazione didattica, visuale e di sintesi. L'Unicef - Comitato Regionale Veneto - valuterà l'assegnazione di un premio o di una menzione per quelle opere che maggiormente rispondono ai principi ispiratori della Convenzione Internazionale sui Diritti dell'Infanzia.

Videoclips
Possono partecipare tutti i videoclip inediti nei circuiti commerciali nazionali e internazionali (previa autocertificazione) di durata massima di 5' (compresi i titoli di testa e di coda).

Corti&Web
Possono partecipare tutti i cortometraggi della durata massima di 5' (compresi i titoli di testa e di coda), senza vincoli di genere, realizzati nei formati Avi, Mov o Flash.
I cortometraggi selezionati saranno visibili sul sito www.shortinvenice.net.

PER PARTECIPARE AL CONCORSO SONO NECESSARI
La scheda di iscrizione compilata in ogni sua parte e inviata in formato digitale word su cd.
Due foto di scena dell'opera formato jpeg (con l'autorizzazione alla pubblicazione e alla promozione)
Copia DVD (non CD-Rom) dell'opera, preferibilmente sottotitolata in inglese.
L'invio dei materiali di cui sopra sarà a carico dei partecipanti, e dovrà avvenire ENTRO E NON OLTRE IL 20 giugno 2010. Per le opere che perverranno oltre questa data farà fede il timbro postale.
La Commissione di selezione si riserva il diritto di spostare i cortometraggi da una sezione all'altra qualora ne ravvisasse gli estremi.

I materiali inviati non saranno restituiti, ma verranno catalogati e conservati presso la Videoteca di Mestre
Ogni dvd dovrà contenere un solo film, non saranno presi in considerazione dvd che contengano più di un film.

Le apposite commissioni selezioneranno in via preliminare le opere pervenute. Gli autori o produttori delle opere selezionate saranno avvisati entro il 15 settembre.

Con la loro partecipazione al concorso i detentori dei diritti delle opere selezionate autorizzano implicitamente l'inserimento gratuito nel sito Shortinvenice, qualsiasi ulteriore proiezione senza fini di lucro, nonché qualsiasi uso per la promozione del festival.

Tra le opere ammesse al concorso saranno assegnati i seguenti premi:

PREMIO CANDIANI SHORT STORIES
MIGLIOR CORTOMETRAGGIO INTERNAZIONALE 2010: 2000,00 euro

PREMIO SPECIALE DINO BOSCARATO - IL PIACERE DEL GUSTO 2010
Il premio di 1000,00 euro sarà assegnato all'opera che meglio saprà esprimere il piacere della vita attraverso una rappresentazione originale del gusto e dei sensi.

PREMIO SPECIALE LIONS CLUB MESTRE CASTELVECCHIO 2010
Il premio di 1000,00 euro sarà assegnato alla miglior opera di produzione veneta.

SEZIONE VIDEOFORKIDS

PREMIO CINIT VIDEOFORKIDS 2010
ai tre migliori video per ragazzi: 500,00 euro ciascuno

SEZIONE VIDEOCLIPS

PREMIO CANDIANI VIDEOCLIPS
MIGLIOR VIDEOCLIP INTERNAZIONALE 2010: 1000,00 euro

PREMIO CINIT CORTI&WEB
MIGLIOR CORTISSIMO 2010: 500,00 euro

I premi saranno assegnati da apposite giurie che potranno inoltre segnalare, con menzione speciale, altre opere in concorso di particolare valore. Il giudizio delle giurie è insindacabile

L'organizzazione del Festival non si assume alcuna responsabilità per gli eventuali danni che i materiali inviati potrebbero subire.

I dati personali verranno trattati secondo quanto previsto dalla legge 196 del 06/03/2003 e successive modificazioni e integrazioni

L'organizzazione del Festival offrirà il pernottamento ad ogni regista, limitatamente ad un regista per ogni opera ammessa al concorso Short Stories e Videoclips, dal 13 al 16 ottobre incluso.

I premi assegnati dovranno essere ritirati personalmente dal vincitore o da un rappresentante dell'opera.

La mancata presenza comporterà l'annullamento del premio assegnato.

The twelfth edition of the Mestre Film Fest will be held in Mestre (Venice)
at the Candiani Cultural Centre between 12 and 16 october 2010

 
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Only films produced after 2008 are eligible to participate in the competition.
The films must fall into one of the following categories:

Short Stories
Short films running no longer than 20' (including the titles and the acknowledgements) are eligible, regardless of the topic (documentary, fiction, etc.) shot on any format.

Video-For-Kids
Videos for kids made by under-18 filmmakers or by any grade level school are eligible. The film can be shot on any format, but it must not run more than 15' (including the titles and the acknowledgements)
The criteria for evaluating the videos will consider the film's effectiveness in achieving educational and visual goals and conciseness.

The UNICEF - Veneto Regional Committee - will award a prize or honourable mention to works that best meet the inspirational principles of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Videoclips
All uncut video clips in national and international commercial circuits (with signed statement of authorization) of no more than 5' (including opening credits and acknowledgements) are eligible for the competition.

Short in Web
All short films up to 5' long (including titles and acknowledgments) in any genre and shot in Avi, Mov or Flash format are eligible to enter.
The best short films selected can be viewed on-line on www.shortinvenice.net.

TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITION, SUBMIT:
The application form, filled out completely and in digital format (floppy disk or CD)
Two publicity still shots of the work in JPEG format.
Duplicate DVD copies of the work (all non-English films should have English sub-titles).
The entrant will be responsible for all shipping fees; the material must be delivered no later than 4 June 2010. The postmark date will represent proof of date of submission.
Submitted materials cannot be returned and will be catalogued and stored at the Videoteca of Mestre. Each DVD must contain only one film; DVD with more than one film will not be included in the competition.

Special committees will make a preliminary selection of the works submitted. The filmmakers or producers of the selected works will be notified no later than 15 September.

By participating in the competition, holders of the copyrights of the works selected automatically authorize the film's insertion, free of charge, into the Shortinvenice site, any other non-profit screening, and any other uses for the purposes of promoting the Festival.

The works admitted to the competition will be eligible to win the following prizes:

DINO BOSCARATO SPECIAL AWARD 2010 A DELIGHT TO THE SENSES
The prize of 1,000 euro for the work that best expresses the pleasure of life through an original representation of flavour and senses

LIONS CLUB MESTRE CASTELVECCHIO SPECIAL AWARD 2010
To the best work of Veneto production: 1,000 euro

VIDEO-FOR-KIDS CINIT AWARD 2010
for the three best videos for kids: 500 euro each

VIDEOCLIPS CANDIANI AWARD
BEST INTERNATIONAL VIDEOCLIP 2010: 1,000 euro

SHORT IN WEB CINIT AWARD
BEST VERY SHORT FILM ON LINE 2010: 500 euro

The panel will also select works in the competition that hold a special value and which deserve honourable mention. The panel's decision will be final.

Festival organizers cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to materials submitted.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with the instructions under Law 196 of 06/03/2003 and successive modifications and integrations.

The Festival organizers will offer accommodation from 13 to 16 October (included) to every director; this offer is valid for one director for each work admitted to the Short Stories and Videoclips competition.

The prizes awarded must be picked up personally by the winner or by a representative of the work. Failure to attend will disqualify the winner from the prize awarded.
